CAREER RELATED EXPERIENCE
University of Miami Medicine & Health Care Summer Program
Student
During the University of Miami Medicine & Health Care Summer Program, I participated in a National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) residential program where I worked closely with physicians and medical students. Over the course of nine days, I gained hands-on experience by practicing surgical techniques, collaborating with medical teams to diagnose patients, and engaging in debates on public health issues with my peers. This immersive experience deepened my understanding of the medical field and further fueled my passion for healthcare.
OrthoSport
Intern
As an intern at OrthoSport, I worked alongside doctors, assisting them in preparing patients for various treatments. My responsibilities included helping patients with stretching exercises and applying heating pads or ice as part of their recovery process. This experience gave me valuable insight into patient care and the importance of personalized treatment in physical therapy.
Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants
Intern
During my internship at Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants, I had the opportunity to shadow anesthesiologists as they met with patients, diagnosed conditions, and developed treatment plans. I also worked closely with the front office staff to learn the day-to-day administrative routines and helped check in patients. This experience provided me with a deeper understanding of the anesthesiology field and allowed me to observe the collaborative work between doctors and Physician Assistants in patient care.
